2024 Media Access and Guidelines:

Media access is available to Factory OEM race teams, series sponsors, national television and radio networks, local television and radio stations, recognized daily newspapers, news services, and racing publications, as well as other publications and internet sites that regularly cover motorsports and the sport of motocross.

Freelance photographers/videographers that are not on assignment from an accredited outlet (listed above) are not eligible for a media credential.

Season Credentials are reserved for approved media personnel who will attend at least 6 of the scheduled events on the season calendar.

Single Event wristbands are reserved for approved media personnel who will attend less than half of the events throughout the season.

All approved media are required to wear a series-issued vest.

Policy

Eligibility: Applications must be submitted 15 days prior to the first event needed.

Age Requirements: The minimum age for a Media Credential is 18.

Series Access: A season credential is valid at any Grand National Cross Country Series event produced by Racer Productions, Inc.

Proper Use: Credentials are specialty hard cards issued by Racer Productions. Credentials must be worn at all times during events and only by the individual to whom it was issued. Presentation of a credential signifies to security that the bearer has signed the required releases and meets the qualifications for access into restricted areas. Unauthorized or improper use of a credential is prohibited.

Replacement: If your credential is lost, stolen or damaged, contact Racer Production’s Media Manager immediately. Depending on the circumstances, a fee may be assessed for replacement.

Procedure

To obtain media access for the Progressive Grand National Cross Country Series, it will involve a two-step process.

First, all interested applicants must fill out and submit an application for review by GNCC’s Media Manager. Once submitted, each application will be approved or denied based on thorough assessment.

If approved, season media members must then complete a credential form and provide digital signatures for the Racer Productions All-Event Release Waiver and Indemnity Agreement.

Application Information: Complete the required fields in the online application below and submit for approval. Make sure all the information is accurate. The primary means of communication for additional correspondence will be via email.

Assignment Letter: Requests must submit an assignment letter specifying what type of coverage, editor or supervisor name and contact information, along with your project assignments for the season and or GNCC event(s). If you are the editor or supervisor, please state your proposed coverage plan and name of individual working for you.

Submittal: Applications must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the first event needed.

Approval/Denial: Media credentials are approved and denied on a case-by-case basis, at the sole discretion of Racer Productions. Series personnel may approve or deny media access at any time, for any reason, including inappropriate behavior or violation of the event rules. Upon approval, a confirmation email will be sent along with details on how to obtain the credential.

Denied applications fail to fulfill a prerequisite for obtaining approval and are thoroughly reviewed. All denials are final.

Releases: Approved applicants must complete a Racer Productions All-Event Release Waiver and Indemnity Agreement. Releases must be signed electronically in order to receive your media credential.

Credential Pick-Up: At round one, credential pick-up will be available at the Media Safety Meeting held on Friday afternoon at 4 PM and/or Saturday morning at 7 AM.

General Information

Appropriate Attire: Media are required to dress appropriately. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times. Inappropriately dressed media may be required to remedy the situation or face credential revocation.

Event Rules: Media members must observe all event guidelines and regulations. If unsure, please seek information from the Media Manager or on-site security personnel. Do not begin work as a media member unless you understand the event rules and regulations.

Event Information: Pre- and post-race press releases and race results are disseminated on a regular basis to media outlets and publications. Please contact the MXS Media Manager if you wish to be added to the distribution list. Additionally, officially approved results, event schedules, and more from throughout the season can be found by visiting www.gnccracing.com.

Photographs and Video: Any photos, pictures, video or other media forms taken at any Racer Productions event will be used for media purposes only (i.e. magazines, newspaper, social media, etc). By filling out the application and signing the e-waiver you agree to give all rights of the photographs, video or other media taken at any Racer Productions, (RP) event, the controlling body of GNCC Racing, to be used at RPs’ discretion. Racer Productions reserves the right to terminate media credentials for any reason and impose future bans at events and or ask you to leave the track at any time.

Media Access Policy

Media Vests: Approved media must wear their series issued vest and credential supplied by Racer Productions at all times while accessing the event.

Drones: For the safety of everyone, unauthorized drones are prohibited and will be confiscated. If you would like the opportunity to fly your drone, you will need to discuss those options with the RP Media or Marketing Manager, RacerTV Director, and Event Director at the event. Please have your FAA Certification and Registration Number as well as proof of insurance.

Pit Vehicles: Motorcycles ranging from 50cc to 150cc 4 Stroke may be used as media pit vehicles. NO full size race/dual sport bikes, UTVs, Golf Carts or ATVs will be permitted to be used as media member pit vehicles. Media members wanting to use a pit vehicle may do so but must wear a helmet and close-toed shoes at all times. Your issued pit vehicle permit must be placed on the pit vehicle’s front number plate, visible to series officials.

Media Safety Meeting: Approved Media must attend a mandatory Media Safety Meeting at round one on Friday at 4 PM or on Saturday at 7 AM. The meeting will go over track safety, pit vehicle permits and safety expectations for the year. Media vests, credentials and pit vehicle permits will be distributed following the meeting. Any media that misses that meeting must contact Racer Productions Media Manager, Kayla Bolton, before they are issued their vest and credential.
