Action Off-Road/GBC/Houser Racing’s Wyatt Wilkin would work his way back to a podium finish after a machine issue took him out of the last race. Wilkin would start his day back in eighth, but was determined to battle at the front again, and would round out the podium in Ohio. With Fowler, Neal and Wilkin all being from Ohio – it was an Ohio podium sweep at The Wiseco John Penton.

Both Hunter Hart Racing/Fly Racing/Ithaca Recreation Sports’ Hunter Hart and Phoenix Racing Yamaha/Action Off-Road’s John Glauda Jr. would push themselves throughout the race to finish inside the top five after starting back in ninth and tenth. Sturdivant Racing’s Branden Owens would cross the line sixth overall on the day.

Action Off-Road/GBC/BNR Motorsports’ Joshua Merritt would come through to finish seventh on the day after starting back in 12^th on the opening lap. JMR/GBC/Elka/Moose Racing’s Jarrod McClure would start his day just outside of the top five but would unfortunately be unable to push forward and would cross the line eighth on the day.

Coming through in ninth overall was Action Off-Road/Maxxis/Fly Racing/Lonestar’s Austin Abney after he would start his day back in 13th. Abney would continue to push forward making the necessary passes to get inside the top 10 overall. BNR Motorsports/Fearless/Kenda Tire’s Steven Harrell rounded out the top 10 overall finishers and tenth in the XC1 Pro class.

In the XC2 Pro-Am class it was BNR Motorsports/Pierce Performance/GBC Tire’s Alex Thieman making his way into the lead after battling throughout the first lap with the $100 BNR Motorsports XC2 Holeshot Award winner, CST Tires/LMR Motors/Elka/Fly Racing’s Braxton Grosse. Thieman would continue to hold his lead for the duration of the race and taking over the points lead by one. Grosse would continue to hold onto second place for the extent of the race in Ohio. Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Grayson Eller would have his work cut out for him as he came through in 10th on the opening lap of the race. Eller would battle back to finish third on the day and make up valuable points as he sits one point behind Thieman heading into the finale.

Earning the Top Amateur Honors at The Wiseco John Penton was Talan Stout who finished 17th overall and first in College A (16-18) during the afternoon race. Andre Williams would come through 21st overall and second in College A to earn second atop the Top Amateur podium, while Dayton Hickey rounded out that podium with a 23rd overall finish position and a third in College A.

As the morning race got underway, Kenda/KMK/Ryco Electric’s Cody Collier would get a good jump off the 4x4 Pro line and earn himself the $100 BNR Motorsports Holeshot Award as he headed into the woods first. Collier would lead over Pro Row 784/TMS/Edgewood/DeRisi Racing’s Brandon Frazier for the first two laps of the race but would be unable to hold off Frazier as he made the pass for the lead. Collier would fall back to fifth as they came through on their third lap but would unfortunately  suffer a mechanical issue while out on the last lap of the race, pushing him back to a sixth place finish.

Frazier would continue to hold the lead after making the pass earlier in the race, as he came through with over a minute lead on the rest of his competition. Frazier currently holds a 27 point lead over Collier in the National Championship standings as the series heads to its season finale at the end of October at Ironman Raceway.

Coming through to take second overall and in the 4x4 Pro class was KMK Off-Road/OBOR Tires/FXR’s Kaden Wharff. After a good start, Wharff would maintain himself at the front of the pack for the duration of the race as he came through in third for the first couple of laps and would work his way up to second to finish off the day. Rounding out the top three overall in the AM race was Trevor Meadows in the 250 All-Star (14-17) class as he earned his second class win of the season. SBR/Action Off-Road/DeRisi/HMF’s Haedyn Mickelson would battle back to earn third in the 4x4 Pro class at the penultimate round of the 2024 GNCC Racing season.

JMR/Action Off-Road/GBC/Moose Racing’s Katelyn Osburn would grab herself the $100 BNR Motorsports WXC Holeshot Award to start off the day, and she would head into the woods with the rest of her competition right behind her. It wouldn’t take long for the battles to heat up in the WXC class as Elioff Racing/BNR Motorsports/GBC Tire’s Jessica Elioff would take over the lead on lap one. However, Osburn Off-Road/Pierce Performance/Moose Racing’s Chloe Harper was not giving up and would push herself to make a pass for the lead while out on their third lap. Elioff would be unable to make a pass back around Harper as she came through to take the win with just .951 of a lead. Elioff would come through second while Kenda/Moose Racing/Teixeira Tech’s Hannah Hunter put herself in the mix to finish third on the day.

Elioff would also be able to clinch the 2024 GNCC WXC ATV National Championship with that second place finish on the day, as she claimed her second-straight WXC title one round early.

The Youth ATV race was full of battles and lead changes as the racers made their way onto the Ohio course. Stetson Owens would start his day back in fifth, but he would steadily work his way up through the pack and make a last lap pass to take over the lead position. Owens would hold that lead, coming through timing and scoring to take home his second YXC1 Super Mini Sr. (13-15) class win, and youth ATV overall win of the season. Noah Lykins, who held the early lead in the race, would hold onto second overall and second place in the YXC1 class at The John Penton GNCC. Landon Glauda would come through to take third overall on the day and earn the YXC2 Super Mini Jr. (12-13) class win.

Garrett Cox would come through the finish to take home third place in the YXC1 class, while Jackson Hancock and Brayden Cox would round out the top three finishers in the YXC2 class in Ohio. Other Youth ATV winners from round 12 included: Keelyn Eichelberger in the 250 (13-15) class, Lakah Carr in the 250 (13-15) Limited class, Camden Phillips in the 125 (8-12) class, Tate Hall in the 125 (8-12) Limited class, Beau Collins in the 90 (8-12) class, Gracie Wolfe in the Schoolgirl (12-15) class, Raelynn Dickerson in the Girls Sr. (12-15) class, Tenley Hart in the Girls Jr. (8-11) class and Abigail Halterman in the 70 CVT (6-11) class. 

As the Micro ATV race took off first thing in the morning, Hunter Lazzell would work his way straight to the front and never look back. Lazzell would continue to push for the duration of the race and would come through to earn his first Micro ATV overall win of the season. That was also his first win in the MXC1 class in the slick conditions that presented themselves first thing Saturday morning. Casen Jennings continued his winning ways, earning second overall in the Micro ATV race and taking home his eighth MXC2 class win of the season. Rounding out the top three overall finishers was Joshua Swantek from the MXC1 class.

Chad McCormick would finish third in the MXC1 class, while Justin Collins Jr. and Kolston Wilson rounded out the top three finishers in the MXC2 class. Other winners in the Micro ATV race included Reid Aldridge in the 50 Sr. (6-7) class, Messiah South in the 50 Jr. (4-5) class, Nathan Cline in the 90 Stock (8-9) class and Angel Magana in the 110 CVT Stock (8-9) class.

In the Micro Bike race, it was Tripp Lewis grabbing the early lead in the MXC1 (8-9) class, while the battles heated up behind him in the slick Ohio conditions. Lewis would continue to push forward and remained in the lead position throughout the duration of the race as he came through to see the checkered flag. Lewis would earn first overall in the race and in the MXC1 class. Daxton Mullins battled back and made the pass for second with just two more laps remaining. Ellis Austin rounded out the overall Micro Bike podium in third and would finish the same in the MXC1 class.

From the second row, the MXC2 (6-8) class saw Cade Propst and Maura Tsakanikas battle back-and-forth at the beginning of the race. Propst would be able to make the pass back for the lead and hold that position until he saw the checkered flag waving. Tsakanikas would hold her second place position through the finish of the race, while Colton Walter rounded out the top three in MXC2 after coming back from a fifth place start to the day.

Other winners in the Micro Bike race were Cash Knecht in the 50 Sr. 1 (7) class, Kolt Morrison in the 50 Sr. 2 (6) class, Briar Treadway in the 50 Jr. 1 (6-7) class, Weston Ewing in the 50 Jr. 2 (4-5) class, Hayden Siegel in the Micro (4-6) Shaft Drive class and Grayson Burkhart in the Trail Rider (7-9) class.
