Defending XC2 250 Pro Class Champion Davis braved the rain-affected Talladega conditions following a downpour leading into race day and powered his KTM 250 XC-F to a P1 result in class, which also placed him second overall this weekend. He now sits atop the GNCC standings overall and has extended his advantage in class after three rounds.

Grant Davis: "I got off to the holeshot and got into a really good flow. I picked my way through a bunch of the XC1 riders and put the hammer down, but we ran into some problems there in the conditions toward the end. I'm happy with first in class and second overall, it was a solid result in the end!"

FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers teammate Gus Riordan continued his impressive season at Round 3, shadowing the number 1 of Davis throughout the opening stages, before claiming a consistent third-place finish in class onboard the KTM 250 XC-F.

Angus Riordan: "Super-gnarly race once again in Talladega. We finished with third place after a tough day out with the weather here this weekend, but I am excited to pick it back up and keep the momentum going at the next one."

Ben Kelley experienced an eventful race at the Talladega GNCC, the FMF KTM Factory Racing rider eventually taking his KTM 350 XC-F to fourth position in class and earning a solid haul of points for his efforts. As a result, former GNCC Champion Kelley continues to lead the XC1 Open Pro Class standings and sits second overall.

Ben Kelley: "Tough weather and crazy conditions made for a gnarly race track today! I put myself in a good spot halfway through until I went down, and another crash shortly after put me back further, so I had a lot of passes to make working back through the pack. We struggled a bit with the harsh conditions, although I'm happy to get to the finish and salvage some decent points."

Defending series champion and Round 2 winner Johnny Girroir also encountered a challenging day out at the Talladega GNCC, recording a P7 result in the XC1 Open Pro Class on his FMF KTM Factory Racing 350 XC-F.

Johnny Girroir: "That was a tough day in the conditions. I was mid-pack off the start and began to move forward with a lot of riders around me in the pack, so we did what we could today. The mud made for a challenging race, but we managed to overcome it and was able to bring home important points in the end."

FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers’ Brandy Richards rode her KTM 250 XC-F to a well-earned fourth place in the WXC Class on Sunday, constantly pushing forward following a difficult start to the race and remaining in the title hunt three rounds into the season. She is currently situated P3 in the standings, within 12 points of the lead.

Brandy Richards: "It wasn't the greatest day. I had a great jump off the start, but I spun a little bit going into the first corner, giving me a terrible position. I tried my best to move through the pack as quick as possible, but there were very little passing opportunities early on. I lost a good minute within the first few miles and just couldn’t make it up. I’m happy with my riding and slightly happier with navigating the track and traffic in the mud, but definitely a lot to work on still. Back to the drawing board to figure out these mud races!"
