When the green flag flew, it was Merritt Racing/BNR Motorsports/GBC’s Joshua Merritt jumping out to grab the $250 XC1 Holeshot Award. Merritt would lead the first lap of the race, but Phoenix Racing Yamaha’s Brycen Neal was lingering behind him waiting to make the pass. Neal would find his way by Merritt on lap two and continued to push himself all the way until the checkered flag flew. Neal would cross the line with over a minute lead on the rest of his competition.

Phoenix Racing Yamaha/Action Off-Road/Pierce Performance’s John Glauda Jr. would get a good jump off the line as he battled at the front of the pack for the duration of the race. Glauda came through third on the opening lap, and would make the move into second shortly after, holding that second place spot all the way to the finish.

Rounding out the top three finishers was, WFR/Kenda/Fly Racing/ BNR Motorsport’s Walker Fowler. After getting a bad start and coming through timing and scoring in the ninth place position on lap one, Fowler would have his work cut out for him to get back towards the front. Fowler continued to push each lap and would make a last lap pass to overtake third as he crossed the finish line.

BNR Motorsports/Fearless/Kenda Tire’s Steven Harrell continued to have a consistent race as he battled within the top five for the majority of the race. Harrell would come through to finish fifth overall on the day.

Coming through to take sixth overall on the day was Stewart Boys Racing/GBC/Pierce Performance’s Wyatt Wilkin. As he started his day back in eighth, Wilkin would continue to push himself forward, making a last lap effort to take over the sixth place position. In the seventh place position, Action Off-Road/Kenda/Custom Axis’ Jay Shadron would come through after having a pretty steady race day.

After running in the lead on the opening lap, Merritt would fall back to fifth before eventually finishing eighth overall on the day. BNR Motorsports/Maxxis/PowerMadd’s Jeremiah Wolf worked his way up to finish second in the XC2 after coming through fourth on the opening lap. Action Off-Road/Pierce Performance’s James Glauda pushed his way through the pack as he came through seventh on the opening lap, to finish third in the XC2 class, rounding out the podium. However, it wouldn’t take the WXC Rookie, BNR/Kenda/Lonestar’s Avery Collins long to make her way into the lead position. Collins would hold that spot for the first three laps of the race, but when the white flag came out indicating one more lap to go, she would have some company behind her.

Harper, who had been battling her way up through the pack, found herself within striking distance of Collins and would put the pressure on her during the last lap of the race. Harper would make the pass stick for the lead, earning her second win of the season, as Collins held on to earn second in the WXC class, her first WXC podium.
